Buscando telas descubrí una página online inglesa, Terrys Fabrics, que tenía justo las que estaba buscando, así que me puse en contacto con ellos. Al cabo de una semana tenía las telas en casa y eran más bonitas que en la pantalla.
A month ago, we get some news, a friend is pregnant and will be a boy, so I was thinking about a gift, obviously the kind of gift which involves fabric ;)
Looking for the right fabrics, I have found Terry Fabrics, an UK-based online fabric shop which carries the fabrics that I was looking for, so I contacted them. One week later, the fabrics arrived and there were prettier than on the screen.
Éstas son las telas que escogí, telas de decoración con motivos marineros, y una extra con guirnaldas que combinaba perfectamente con las otras telas.
These are the fabrics, home dec fabric with seaside patterns, and one extra, the bunting one that combines really well with the beach houses, lighthouses and ships.
Y las voy a combinar de esta manera.
I am going to use a red gingham and a blue stripe.
Una vez que tuve decidido el diseño del quilt, corté las telas y las coloqué para darme una idea (la foto es muy mala).
Once I decided the design, I cut the fabric and I put them down on the floor to check the design (bad picture, sorry)
Comencé a coser y llegué a esto.
Between this and that I sew a little and get this.
Ahora ya tengo un poquito más avanzado pero no tengo fotos ;)
Right now the quilt doesn't look like this but I don't have pictures ;)
También decidí coserle algo más a juego, pero eso será una sorpresa que descubrireis en el momento adecuado.
There is another gift, but will be a surprise, maybe in another post.
